The fight against breast cancer deserves attention all year round – not just in October.

For years, Izomax has supported the Pink Ribbon campaign through annual donations. This year, we wanted to take that commitment a step further and make our support visible every single day.
One of our AOGV tools has been coated in pink and named Thyra – a name rooted in Old Norse and derived from Thor, often associated with strength. From now on, every time Thyra is deployed for a project, Izomax will donate NOK 10,000 to the Pink Ribbon campaign, both in our name and the client’s.

“The Pink Ribbon campaign is a fantastic initiative, but the fight against breast cancer deserves attention all year round – especially in the male-dominated oil industry, where the topic has traditionally had little visibility,” says Rune Sele, VP at Izomax. “Pink doesn’t exist in our industry, and Thyra serves as a powerful reminder of that fight every day of the year. The idea came from our employees and is driven by genuine engagement and passion.”

Camilla Gram, Regional Leader at the Norwegian Breast Cancer Association Rogaland, adds:
“It’s truly wonderful to hear about companies that get involved in the Pink Ribbon campaign and take the initiative to raise money themselves. The funds from this year’s campaign go to life-saving breast cancer research, helping more people survive and enjoy the best possible quality of life after treatment.”
The Pink Ribbon is a global symbol of support for the fight against breast cancer. In Norway, the campaign is run by the Norwegian Cancer Society and the Norwegian Breast Cancer Association, and has become an enduring emblem of hope and unity worldwide.
