Strengthening Partnerships Across Global and Norwegian Operations

Posted on: June 18th, 2026 by Ane Andersen

Izomax has recently marked two important milestones, reflecting continued confidence in the AOGV and the role it plays in supporting maintenance and modification work on live systems.

Most recently, Izomax signed a global framework agreement with a global supermajor, formalising a relationship that already spans multiple continents. Over recent years, Izomax has successfully delivered projects for the operator across Asia Pacific, Africa, North America, and Europe. The agreement provides a framework for future collaboration as activity continues to grow across these regions.

In parallel, Izomax has also extended its frame agreement with the largest operator on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. With this renewal, Izomax now holds frame agreements with two of the three largest operators on the NCS.

Together, these agreements represent continued confidence in the AOGV and its ability to provide positive mechanical isolation on live systems without shutdowns, hot work, or permanent modifications to the process plant.

They also reflect a broader trend. This is the third time in three years that a major operator has entered into a long-term agreement with Izomax. With the latest award, Izomax now holds long-term agreements with three of the world’s five largest operators, with a fourth already in progress.

As activity continues to expand across both global and regional markets, these agreements provide a strong foundation for future collaboration and continued support of safe and efficient operations.

Onshore, offshore and everywhere in between

Posted on: June 2nd, 2026 by Ane Andersen

From customer visits and project activity to awareness initiatives and upcoming events, it’s been a busy period across the Izomax team.

In Rotterdam, we joined colleagues from across IK Group at the Aramco Technology Roadshow, where Business Developer Morten Sirevåg presented how the AOGV can increase reliability without shutdowns.

Across North America, activity continues both on site and in the office. Our new facilities in The Woodlands are taking shape while teams have been busy visiting customer sites, progressing projects, and preparing for upcoming work.

Back in Stavanger, May gave us plenty to celebrate. Across locations, teams marked the Norwegian National Day, while employees swapped workwear for football jerseys during Fotballtrøyefredag to help raise awareness for children and young people affected by cancer. The initiative came from employees and highlighted an important cause in a simple but visible way.

May concluded at Energistafetten, where the Izomax team represented both on and off the track. Together with our sister companies IK Topside, IK Subsea, and Norclamp, we sponsored Etappe 2 as part of IK Group, while our running team IZO-motion improved on last year’s result and proved the competitive spirit is still very much alive.

Also out in the field is Thyra, our pink AOGV. Created as part of an Izomax initiative to increase visibility around Pink Ribbon and breast cancer research within the industry, Thyra is currently supporting a major tie-in and isolation scope on a live gas system. Whenever Thyra is deployed, Izomax donates to the Pink Ribbon campaign on behalf of both Izomax and the client once the project is completed. Read more about the Thyra initiative here.

And there is more ahead.

Right now, Sales Manager Norway Gina Charlott Bergseteren is in Canada attending Valve World Americas together with SLB, working closely with Business Development Consultant Tarryl Hektner. You’ll find her at the SLB stand – A06.

Later this month, Sales Director Allan Martin will join Sales Manager Alex Follington at Valve World Asia, where Alex will present: Streamline Maintenance – Replace Valves without Shutdown.

Safe to say, there is plenty happening across regions, and plenty more ahead.

Energistafetten is approaching, and once again the Izomax team will be joining colleagues across IK Group as we prepare for this year’s race.

Organised by Bedriftsidretten in Rogaland, Energistafetten brings together colleagues, friends, families, and teams from across the region for an evening centred around activity, teamwork, and community. The event has become a well-established tradition in Stavanger and reflects Bedriftsidretten’s wider mission of creating inclusive arenas for physical activity and social connection.

As part of IK Group, we are proud to sponsor Etappe 2 together with our sister companies IK Topside, IK Subsea, and Norclamp. If you’re tackling the climb towards Vålandstårnet, you’ll find us at the exchange zone cheering runners on and keeping energy levels up.

On the trail itself, our relay team, IZO-motion, is back in action and ready to take on the route, the competition, and whatever the Stavanger weather decides to deliver on race day.

Events like Energistafetten are a great reminder that teamwork happens both in and outside the workplace. Bringing together colleagues across companies, offices, and disciplines is part of what makes the event a yearly highlight.

Participating in Etappe 2 or looking for the IK Group exchange zone? Stop by and say hello 👋🏼 Expect music, water, medals, boller, and colleagues from across IK Group cheering runners on from the exchange zone.

A busy start to the year at Izomax

Posted on: February 19th, 2026 by Ane Andersen

From Norway to Turkey, from Qatar to the UAE, and across to the United States, 2026 has already set a fast pace for Izomax.

The year began on home turf in Stavanger with the completion of Izomax Risk Management training, marking the introduction of our newly published Risk Management Framework and Risk Register. The session brought together colleagues from Technical, Projects, Sales and the Workshop, reinforcing how structured risk management supports better decision-making across our operations. Additional sessions are planned as part of a wider rollout.

January wrapped up with the women of IK Group attending Hockey & Heels in support of the children’s ward at the new Stavanger University Hospital. The event combined a strong cause with an opportunity to connect across teams and organisations.

Shortly after, Izomax completed its first operation in Turkey. What began as a threaded spade installation developed into a high-temperature hydrogen scope at 450°C, with limited time and no prior survey. In close collaboration with the client, the team adapted to the conditions on site and delivered the operation within the required timeframe.

February took Izomax to LNG2026 in Qatar, where Business Developer Morten Sirevåg and Customer Solutions Director Svein Tore Milwertz represented the company at one of the LNG industry’s key meeting points. This was followed by the Reliability Middle East Conference in the UAE, in partnership with SLB. At the conference, Morten Sirevåg presented how reliability can be increased without plant shutdown.

Across the Atlantic, VP Rune Sele and US Sales Representative Jerome Moorehead attended a workshop at Chevron’s Pascagoula Refinery. The session focused on how the AOGV can reduce 7–9 days of LPO by enabling isolation without shutdown.

The same week concluded with Izomax’s first webinar of the year, where Sales Manager Lynne Lyon presented how mechanical isolation using the AOGV can support maintenance and modification work while systems remain in operation.

It has been a strong start to 2026, with activity across operations, conferences, workshops, and digital engagement – and more to come.

A hydrogen line at 450°C: The AOGV delivered under extreme conditions

Posted on: February 10th, 2026 by Ane Andersen

This January, Izomax mobilised for a threaded spade installation under conditions that quickly proved to be more demanding than initially expected.

Once preparations began on site, the full extent of the challenge became clear. The line to be isolated carried a 90% hydrogen medium at 450°C, and just above the flange location, a major crack in the pipe was discovered. The finding significantly increased the complexity of the operation and required an immediate reassessment.

Compounding the technical challenge were tight project constraints. The timeline from project award to execution was less than one month. This was a new client, the first operation in a new country, with no prior survey completed, and only a five-day window on site available for execution. With these factors combined, the margin for error was effectively zero.

Image: An 03inch CL300 AOGV was used for this operation. See our full fleet here.

As conditions changed, the plans had to change with them. Working closely with the client, the Izomax team adapted to the condition on site and developed a revised solution under time pressure, with safety and execution remaining the top priorities throughout.

Despite the demanding conditions, the operation was completed successfully and within the required timeframe.

This is just one of many successful operations delivered by the Izomax team. Explore our Projects and Case Studies to see how the AOGV has been applied across different systems and conditions worldwide.

2025, the Izomax way

Posted on: December 29th, 2025 by Ane Andersen

As 2025 comes to an end, we look back on a year filled with new colleagues, busy project schedules, packed event calendars, and the occasional Mission Impossible moment. This Izomax 2025 review reflects a year worth talking about. Here’s the short version.

We started the year by moving into our new dedicated headquarters at Lagerveien 17 in Forus, Stavanger. The official opening brought together clients, suppliers and partners, and Stavanger Mayor Tormod Wilson Losnedal performed the opening ceremony.

As the year progressed, we welcomed 20 new colleagues across our global offices, strengthening teams in Sales, Engineering, QHSE and Logistics. We also expanded our engineering capabilities through the acquisition of IK Engineering, now operating as Izomax Engineering, with the team in Gdańsk supporting projects and growth across our global operations.

Operationally, 2025 was a busy one. We introduced 13 new tools into the AOGV fleet and completed 79 isolations across APAC, the Americas, Europe and Africa. The work spanned a wide range of systems, locations and operating conditions, reflecting the growing demand for shutdown-free mechanical isolation.

The year also kept us on the road. The Izomax team attended 21 events and conferences across five continents, meeting operators, partners and industry peers. From Banff to Brazil, and from Offshore Europe to ADIPEC, these events gave us the opportunity to share experiences, discuss challenges, and stay close to the markets we work in.

The year also included one Mission Impossible film, three cinema events, a pink-coated AOGV, and a visit to a falcon market in Qatar.

Reflecting on 2025 also brings perspective. What started as an idea and a five-person department in 2017 has continued to develop into a growing global company. In May, Izomax was awarded yet another multi-country MSA with one of the world’s largest energy companies, reinforcing the trust placed in the AOGV and the teams delivering it across regions.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey this year – colleagues, customers, suppliers and partners. Together, we’ll continue to redefine what’s possible in 2026.

Happy new year!
