Overview

The patented AOGV mechanical isolation system installs a barrier between a flange pair on a pressurized system whilst in continuous operation. Unlike alternative isolation technologies, the AOGV allows our customers to safely isolate process segments for inspection, maintenance, or repair without a cashflow shutdown!

Izomax were selected to use the AOGV mechanical isolation system to isolate 2 nozzles on a 3rd stage separator, in order to allow safe vessel entry and cleaning activities. Passing valves upstream of the vessel prevented the operator from performing cleaning of the tank during normal operations. A shutdown would have been required with conventional interventions. The shutdown was avoided by use of the AOGV mechanical isolation system.
