Semi-submersible Drilling Rig Seawater Intake
Overview
The patented Izomax AOGV mechanical isolation system installs a barrier between a flange pair on a pressurized system whilst in continuous operation. Unlike alternative isolation technologies, the AOGV allows our customers to safely isolate process segments for inspection, maintenance, or repair without a cashflow shutdown!
Two isolations were performed on the starboard and port seawater intakes to allow the replacement of passing valves whilst the semi-sub was on location. The use of AOGV eliminated the need to use divers and a ROV or alternatively, de-mobilizing the Semi-sub for off-location repairs.
