Isolation to Facilitate In-situ Repair & Valve Replacement

Overview

The patented AOGV mechanical isolation system installs a barrier between a flange pair on a pressurized system whilst in continuous operation. Unlike alternative isolation technologies, the AOGV allows our customers to safely isolate process segments for inspection, maintenance, or repair without a cashflow shutdown!

 

The AOGV mechanical isolation system was selected to facilitate in-situ repair of a control valve in the line between a first and second stage separator. During the repair operation it was discovered that the valve was beyond repair and had to be replaced. AOGV was then used to isolate both sides of the valve, allowing safe valve replacement while production was maintained through a bypass line. The use of the AOGV avoided delays an a significant production shut down.
