We’re now looking for a new Workshop Technician to join us in Stavanger.

What We Do

Join the Izomax team in redefining what’s possible in mechanical isolation.

With our AOGV tool, we deliver safe intervention on live systems – eliminating the need for shutdowns, hot work, and downtime. Our work is primarily within the oil and gas and energy sector, with more than 300 projects completed worldwide.

Headquartered in Stavanger, Norway, with a facility in Houston, a dedicated engineering office in Gdańsk, and teams across the UK and Australia, we are a growing international company backed by over 30 years of innovation through IK Group.

The job

We need someone, a skilled technician who thrives in an organised and well-maintained workshop. Someone who enjoys working systematically and keeping things in order. A strictly in-house job!

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Maintenance, repairs, and testing of equipment
  • Keeping the workshop tidy and organized
  • Having good business acumen and delivery focused
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow
  • Following safety procedures and maintain high standard
  • Full responsibility for building and maintaining an AOGV to ensure optimal functionality and reliability

 

Qualifications and Expectations

To succeed in this role, you should: 

  • Thrive in hands-on environments working alongside great teams of dedicated technicians.
  • Have experience as a technician, mechanic, or similar role
  • Be organised and systematic approach to work
  • Have attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Have the ability to work independently and take ownership in the workshop
  • Have a certificate of apprenticeship in industrial mechanical, agricultural engineering or equivalent is preferred
  • Have experience with pressurized systems and/or piping is preferred
  • Be fluent in Norwegian and English

  • Stavanger, Norway, based position.
  • Reporting to Workshop Manager
